High schooler Max Morrison has been given a taste of life as a marine pilot.
Earlier this month the senior St Patrick’s College student spent a week learning the ropes from our Pilotage team as part of his school’s work experience program.
“It’s been a very interesting week and different to what I expected,” Mr Morrison said.
“I’ve received some good advice from the marine pilots. I also got to talk to tug masters and helicopter pilots to learn more about what they do.
“Thank you to everyone for being welcoming and going out of your way to help me.”
Max now hopes to go to the Australia Maritime College in Tasmania and work on a tanker before becoming a marine pilot.
