There are four different types of NQBP inductions. You may need to complete an induction to either access an NQBP port or work in an NQBP office.

See below for some examples of which types of workers need to do which inductions.

What is the right induction for you?

To help you find the right induction for you, we've provided some examples of the types of worker who may need to do each of our inductions. If you're still not quite sure which induction is right for you, give our port security office a call on (07) 4955 8147.

Port access

People who may need to do this induction include delivery drivers, workers for tenants in port-secured areas, stevedores and transport companies.

Port and office worker

People who may need to do this induction include NQBP employees, contractors, consultants and those on a service agreement.

Water access only

People who may need to do this induction include non-NQBP personnel using marine facilities, landing ramps or barge ramps.

NQBP office worker

People who may need to do this induction include NQBP employees or workers that are based in an office and will not visit a port.

When don't you need an induction?

If you are just visiting the port, you may not require a Port Access card and therefore will not need to complete an induction.

However, you must be escorted at all times by an inducted person and must abide by all NQBP directions and requirements.

Visitors cannot conduct work activities while visiting.
