To promote information-sharing and consultation, NQBP hosts community reference groups at the Ports of Mackay and Hay Point.

Running for almost 20 years, the CRGs provide a forum for NQBP and community representatives to discuss issues of mutual interest relating to port operations and development.

The CRGs are made up of representatives from local businesses, port industry, indigenous and recreational groups and the general community.

Meetings are held four times a year at each location.

All of our representatives are volunteers and we thank them all for their time, commitment and passion for the port and their communities.
