Apprenticeship Program 2026

Start your future at the Port of Mackay with North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation (NQBP). Applications for our 2026 apprenticeship program are now closed. This opportunity only comes around once every three to four years, with each intake carefully planned to ensure strong mentoring, hands-on learning and real-world experience in a unique waterfront environment.

Eligibility

These positions are suitable for people who:

• Are completing Year 12 in 2025 (or equivalent)
• Commit to safety and teamwork
• Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) within three months of starting
