CRG applications

Mackay and Hay Point residents are invited to apply for a three-year term on North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation (NQBP) community reference groups (CRGs).

The CRGs, which have been running for over 20 years, provide an invaluable link between us and our port communities.

The CRGs provide a forum for us and community members to discuss and raise issues of relevance and mutual interest relating to port operations and development.

CRG representatives are volunteers and we thank them all for their time, commitment and passion for the port and their communities.

They are made up of representatives from the local community, Yuwi Aboriginal Corporation, Mackay Regional Council, local businesses, port industry, environment, and recreational users.

Six positions, including three community representatives, one local Marina resident and two recreational group (boating, surfing or fishing) representatives, are available on the Port of Mackay CRG.

Nine positions are available for community representatives on the Port of Hay Point CRG.

Nominations close 5pm Friday 31 January 2025.

For more information please email communications@nqbp.com.au.
