Sponsorships and donations

Through our Sponsorships and Donations Program, we aim to build community capital by supporting projects, initiatives, and events that align with our strategic themes and values and which make a real difference to our communities.

The program comprises three categories -  Grassroots Donations, Corporate Sponsorships and Donations and NQBP Community Fund.

Grassroots Donations

Grassroots Donations support local clubs, teams, groups and events that positively impact the community. These donations help cover costs such as equipment, uniforms, venue hire, and community activities.

One-off donations of between $500 and $1,000 per application are available year-round. To apply for Grassroots Donations, please complete our online form.

Corporate Sponsorships and Donations

Our Corporate sponsorships and donations are direct partnerships that support:

• corporate objectives including strategic themes and key projects
• emergent community issues, and
• targeted initiatives aligned to key stakeholder interests.

We work closely with stakeholders in each port community to identify relevant corporate sponsorship and donation opportunities.

We also proudly provide an annual donation to Stella Maris to assist them with operational costs associated with providing care for seafarers’ spiritual, social, and material welfare across our ports.

NQBP Community Fund

Applications for the 2025-26 NQBP Community Fund are now closed.

The NQBP Community Fund is an annual sponsorship program for non-profit organisations in our port communities, including Mackay, Hay Point, Abbot Point (Bowen), and Weipa.

Funding is available for projects, initiatives, and events that align with our strategic themes and values.  We also aim to identify partnerships that embrace the principles of diversity and inclusion – e.g. gender diversity and First Nations Peoples.
