Ever wanted a behind-the-scenes tour of the Port of Mackay? Here’s your chance.
North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation (NQBP) is hosting free public guided bus tours to help mark the Port of Mackay’s 80th anniversary on Sunday 25 August.
NQBP Chief Executive Officer Nicolas Fertin encouraged community members to take the opportunity to learn more about the Port of Mackay, its rich history and how it’s grown.
“Today the port operates 24-hours a day, seven days a week as an essential multi-commodity port,” Mr Fertin said.
“It’s a great way for people to get a closer look at the port on their doorstep and see how it facilitates trade and the economy for the region.”
Secure your ticket by visiting www.eventbrite.com.
Bookings are required by Friday 16 August; places are limited and the tours are expected to fill up quickly. Photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, is required to attend.
