North Queensland Bulk Ports (NQBP) advises that seismic survey works will take place in waters adjacent to the Bowen Jetty within the period of Monday 25 and Wednesday 29 May.
What is happening?
The works will be undertaken by Marine Earth Sciences on behalf of contractors WGA using a small, shallow-draft vessel and non-intrusive equipment to map seabed features.
The survey will not disturb the seabed and will help inform planning and design of future infrastructure works.
Access changes
Public access will remain unchanged during the works.
Community members may notice minor vessel activity adjacent to the jetty while works are under way.
