North Queensland Bulk Ports (NQBP) will be carrying out works on the Bowen wharf.
What is happening?
We’re undertaking final maintenance work to replace plywood sections with more durable Fibre Reinforced Polymer decking.
The works will be from Monday 10 November to Thursday 13 November 2025.
This maintenance work is unrelated to the Bowen Jetty project and Geotechnical Works.
Access changes
For everyone's safety, public access to the affected area of the Bowen Jetty will be closed during this time.
We appreciate your patience while we complete these important works.

NQBP’s Bowen Wharf repair works completed
Repair works on the 150-year-old Bowen Wharf are now complete. Since late February, about $3.6 million worth of works has been carried out on the Wharf, which has seen parts of the aged timber structure repaired or replaced.
