openPlease be advised that the Bowen Jetty is expected to be temporarily closed to public access on Monday 13 July while Maritime Safety Queensland removes a nearby derelict vessel.
What is happening?
Maritime Safety Queensland will use a crane to remove the vessel from the water. To ensure the safety of workers and the community, the jetty will be unavailable for the duration of these works.
Access changes
The closure will be in place from 6:30am until approximately 2:30pm. The jetty will reopen once the works have been safely completed. We appreciate the community's patience and understanding during this time.
Nominate now for Bowen Jetty design workshops
Bowen community members are encouraged to help shape the future jetty by nominating to take part in the Enquiry by Design (EbD) process.
